My Dad is getting pestered by spam email which is going directly to the Bulk folder of Yahoo Mail. Is there anyway to make it go directly to the Trash can instead, any settings/options I can change?
No. That’s what the bulk mail is for. Dad needs to calm down and use the tools Yahoo gives us. We ALL get spam email, everyone in the world with an email address gets it. You can set the options so that you/he never sees the bulk mail – that’s the way mine is set. As soon as it hits the Bulk mail folder, it is deleted. I DON’T want to see it, I don’t want to be annoyed by it, I just want it gone. And I DON’T want it in my In Box.
Next to the Bulk folder, theres an [Empy] button, and that goes straight to the Trash. Also, next to the Trash, there is also an [Empty] button, and it automatically deletes the Trash.\
Well, that is what happens. That’s actually what’s soposed to happen. Everyone gets the junk mail in the Bulk folder. There isn’t a way you can make it go directly to the trash can, so I guess he’ll just have to keep deleting it. Yes, it is a pain. But I’m sorry, thats the way it is!
On the mail page, click on “options” and then on “spam protection”.
You can check the option to—–”immediately delete suspected spam upon receipt”. Also make sure the box is checked that says——”add senders address to the blocked list”.
Don’t forget to “save” any changes.
Hope this will solve the problem.
