How do I stop stupid singles ads from my email account?

OK, I went into my yahoo email options, and I added a few key words to my block list, ie, singles, mate etc. For some reason it seems like since I have done this there are even more than before! I even moved them into my inbox so I could mark them as spam, but they only send me more emails from a different domain! Ugh! I **** it! How do I make them stop for good?! I marked that I wanted any emails containing the words singles or mate sent to the trash, so why are they still in my bulk folder?!!!
