I use the classic view Yahoo email, but this should also apply to newer editions. Every copy of every email I sent myself recently was filtered as bulk spam until I figured out why. When you register with Yahoo they ask your alternate email. If that email account closes, your emails to yourself or copies of your emails to yourself (Carbon Copy = CC: / Blind Carbon Copy = BCC:) are treated as bulk spam or junkmail. To fix this, go to your mail OPTIONS, then select ACCOUNT INFORMATION, then login with your password, then select EDIT on the line with Member Information, then delete or replace your ALTERNATE EMAIL ADDRESS with a valid one. Then select FINISHED. I just found out when registering for Yahoo Answers, when I was going to ask what to do. I noticed my long closed alternate email address and figured the relation, tested, and voila! CC: and BCC: copies from myself now get delivered into my inbox instead of BULK folder.Sweet! Hope this helps others!(Observation/No answer requested)
Thanks for your message! Looks like there’s more to the situation, since I just found out that adding my yahoo email address in the BCC: is still causing the BCC: copy to be frequently filtered into my BULK email folder. I think it is more of a design flaw, as mail from myself to itself (the same account) should not be treated as bulk. I just hope the receiver is actually getting the emails and not having them treated as BULK too! I am happy to report that using the mail option to save a sent copy of all emails is currently operational, unlike a few years back when the option was always being ignored regardless of its setting. At that point I had began to BCC: important emails to myself to be availible before the new email search feature became availible. This feature is extremely valuable when you have thousands of emails monthly to sort through for bits of data or words. I can’t thank Yahoo enough for implimenting the search option, and maintaining the site for over a decade!
